"The driver was a little over 15 minutes late, which was a bit nerve-wracking. As we had explained online when we booked and later on a borrowed phone, we had no access to phone or Internet service once we left the apartment at which we had been staying. The driver seemed pleasant enough, but it would be a good idea for him to remember to greet the person whom he's supposed to meet by name/destination to confirm he is who/what he says he is. The driver called in (to the dispatcher?) to find out which terminal our flight was leaving from, and dropped us off at Terminal 1 at Manchester Airport. Problem was, our flight was from Terminal 3, which is a good 15+ minute walk (there is no inter-terminal bus or tram), some of it outside. In the rain."

As a result we needed to take alternative costly transport, delaying our plans for the evening. "Pick-up on outbound journey was good. Car arrived on time, status updates were provided and the driver courteous. There was some confusion over job completion/payment (we had pre-booked and pre-paid for a return journey) on arrival at the airport but this was quickly resolved by the operator. Collection from T1 Mcr Airport on the return journey was not quite so impressive. We received no status updates on arrival and it took several calls to the operator to locate our car. Our flight landed on time at 00:10 but it was gone 1:00am before we were collected. Driver was courteous but seemed unfamiliar with our route home. In summary: a decent overall taxi service but the 'Meet & Greet' element needs a little more work (this is not the first time we have been left waiting on our return). We may consider alternative collection options in the future. "

This led us to have a discussion with Euro Lynx's customer services team which said that despite our receipt proving our paid-for journey, that they will not honour the receipt as they had not had that journey sent to them on their system by Taxicode. Therefore we had to pay extra to get the service that we had already paid for. As the customer, with a valid receipt it should not have been left to us to fix this problem, and instead should have had our requested journey honoured and the problem dealt with afterwards between the two taxi companies. This happened at 3am which is completely unacceptable. I have already asked for a full refund in a previous email."

Then i called her again and tried to explain her my problem and wanted to give her my Booking reference but all she was asking for was the websites name where we booked from (like why?). I was still trying to explain her that the taxi isn't coming but she just said that my English is very bad (I'm studying medicine in English and did IELTS just to state my English Level) and then she said wait a minute. "The journey to the festival was incredible! Great driver, arrived on time had a great experience. However, the ride back was infuriating. It was hard to communicate with our driver about where to pick us up, as we were attending a festival and the traffic was in grid lock. We kept having to change a designated meeting point because we couldn’t understand him. We walked more than half an hour to where he was parked. We told him to meet us at a pub away from traffic... he couldn’t meet us there so we walked further down to a street not in the grid lock traffic but he still couldn’t find us even though we had told him where we were... he had to physically get out of his car and meet us at this street... when we were finally in the car, the journey was fine. But I found it really hard to communicate with this driver. There was a clear language barrier and he couldn’t understand that if we spoke slowly and calmly we would be able to communicate better. While I understand that getting picked up from festival can be a frustrating ordeal, the situation was made ten times worse by the communication barrier... as a person of colour myself, I understand language barriers can be tough, but honestly that was one of the worst pick ups I’ve ever experienced."

That is a wait of almost 1.5 hours for the last taxi to arrive. On the plus side, the drivers were very nice and the quality of the cars and 7 seaters was good. "

This was the trip on July 13, 2019. I proceeded to complain to the company and canceled the return trip scheduled for July 20, 2019. Lady on phone extremely rude and condescending and not helpful in the slightest!!!!!!!! We took turns standing with our bags were all the other pick ups seemed to be happening and looked every were in arrivals hall and outside the terminal. Had information call up driver etc. but nothing worked until company finally got us in direct contact with driver about 40-50 min after the planned pick up time. He was apologetic and have no complaints about his driving etc. But the long wait turned what was supposed to be an easy trip into a very bad and stressful one. Will neither use again not recommend to others. "

Whilst in that final taxi over an hour later I was speaking to Janet and asked that we not be charged because of the huge inconvenience, wait time and stress caused (I am 5 months pregnant and was made to wait an hour in the cold) who told me that there was absolutely no way for the company to pay the taxi driver for the trip, and that we had to. Prior to this all happening I had booked the taxi online - rang to confirm the day before to be told there was no booking; then made a booking over the phone. On the day of the booking I was called to confirm my booking twice, and was spoken to rudely by a man who told me that there was no way I could have already had a confirmation as he was the one who dealt with bookings. Overall an appalling experience and a £20 refund for an awful trip would be appropriate. "

"The taxi to the airport was very prompt and we got off to a good start. However at the drop off point in Manchester Airport, the driver claimed that we had not paid for the service. The fact was that we had paid in advance some weeks before when, we had booked was disputed by both the driver and the company official which he subsequently rang. Her overall manner when speaking to us was very curt and offhand and not in the least bit helpful. We where kept hanging around from 7am-7:20am, until they eventually found that we had paid, thereby wasting our time coupled with these inferences. When they eventually realized that it was in fact their error, there was not apology forthcoming. On the return journey the Bolton taxi just did not turn up at all, after waiting the best part of an hour, the booking firm eventually gave this job at the last minute ( after our call to the firm ) to an entirely different company called Lynx (based in Stockport ) So in conclusion we chose this method of transport the airport for the convenience so to be kept waiting for a disputed payment (on the outboard journey) which turned out to be an office error and to just not turn up at all on the return journey is not convenient at all. The performance of this firm is sadly lacking and I expect a proper formal apology before I would ever consider using them again. So overall not in the least bit satisfied at all. "

"Booked 2 Mercedes E-classes for my wedding transport from hotel to venue, notifying in the comments section when booking that this was for the bridal party. A separate booking had been made for family who had travelled in an 8 seater minibus 30 minutes earlier (despite a 16 seater being paid booked). This same 8 seater minibus had then been advised to return for this booking, arriving 20 minutes late due to having to do 2 separate trips for the earlier booking. When Lynx were contacted to ask why our taxi hadn't arrived at 11.30, we were initially advised they didn't even have a booking for us, leading me to think I was going to be significantly late if I managed to get a taxi there at all! I was absolutely mortified to have to arrive at my wedding in a dirty old minibus, and spent most of the journey on the verge of tears. I will be contacting the company directly for a full refund including compensation as this was completely inappropriate, absolutely disgusting customer service, not the vehicles I booked and paid for, and added a lot of unnecessary stress to an already stressful day."

As we had explained online when we booked and later on a borrowed phone, we had no access to phone or Internet service once we left the apartment at which we had been staying. The driver seemed pleasant enough, but it would be a good idea for him to remember to greet the person whom he's supposed to meet by name/destination to confirm he is who/what he says he is. The driver called in (to the dispatcher?) to find out which terminal our flight was leaving from, and dropped us off at Terminal 1 at Manchester Airport. Problem was, our flight was from Terminal 3, which is a good 15+ minute walk (there is no inter-terminal bus or tram), some of it outside. In the rain."

"Pick-up on outbound journey was good. Car arrived on time, status updates were provided and the driver courteous. There was some confusion over job completion/payment (we had pre-booked and pre-paid for a return journey) on arrival at the airport but this was quickly resolved by the operator. Collection from T1 Mcr Airport on the return journey was not quite so impressive. We received no status updates on arrival and it took several calls to the operator to locate our car. Our flight landed on time at 00:10 but it was gone 1:00am before we were collected. Driver was courteous but seemed unfamiliar with our route home. In summary: a decent overall taxi service but the 'Meet & Greet' element needs a little more work (this is not the first time we have been left waiting on our return). We may consider alternative collection options in the future. "

It was hard to communicate with our driver about where to pick us up, as we were attending a festival and the traffic was in grid lock. We kept having to change a designated meeting point because we couldn’t understand him. We walked more than half an hour to where he was parked. We told him to meet us at a pub away from traffic... he couldn’t meet us there so we walked further down to a street not in the grid lock traffic but he still couldn’t find us even though we had told him where we were... he had to physically get out of his car and meet us at this street... when we were finally in the car, the journey was fine. But I found it really hard to communicate with this driver. There was a clear language barrier and he couldn’t understand that if we spoke slowly and calmly we would be able to communicate better. While I understand that getting picked up from festival can be a frustrating ordeal, the situation was made ten times worse by the communication barrier... as a person of colour myself, I understand language barriers can be tough, but honestly that was one of the worst pick ups I’ve ever experienced."

Hotel reception also tried all three numbers and they didn't work. But worse then that, he dropped us off at the wrong hotel, despite my confirming the address with him. This was the trip on July 13, 2019. I proceeded to complain to the company and canceled the return trip scheduled for July 20, 2019. I did request a refund, although I have not had an opportunity to check to see if it has been granted. I certainly hope so. "

"Utter confusion!!!!! We arrived 14:20 for a 14:30 pick up. Started ringing company (long distance phone calls for us) at 14:40. Lady on phone extremely rude and condescending and not helpful in the slightest!!!!!!!! We took turns standing with our bags were all the other pick ups seemed to be happening and looked every were in arrivals hall and outside the terminal. Had information call up driver etc. but nothing worked until company finally got us in direct contact with driver about 40-50 min after the planned pick up time. He was apologetic and have no complaints about his driving etc. But the long wait turned what was supposed to be an easy trip into a very bad and stressful one. Will neither use again not recommend to others. "

I’m at location, no car. He says he’s on x road, think he said New Quay Road, so I ran round to see if he was parked up. No car. Called him back, he said he’d come find me. 10 min pass. No car. Call back. Explain we’re outside slug and lettuce, told to stay there, phone cuts off. 5 min later. No car. Call back. Driver asks if I’m in Sale (second collection point) tell him no. I’m outside slug and lettuce. But if he tells me where he is, I can go find him. He hangs up. Call back. Car cancelled. Speak to head office, told that they’d been trying to contact me because my driver was at the location. Seeing as there were 6 of us and 5 stood at the collection point. This was absolutely incorrect. The ride home was absolutely perfect. I would like a call to arrange for half of the £160 I was charged to be repaid. Please confirm when I will receive this? Mark"
